Environmental Careers Worker Training Program The Harambee House is committed to providing the training and resources necessary for the residents of Savannah and the surrounding coastal communities to maintain a healthy and sustainable environment.  This commitment includes aiding in the acquisition of the skills required for unemployed and under-employed men and women to secure viable employment with a livable wage in the industries of construction, weatherization, asbestos removal, lead remediation and mold abatement.

 

Black Youth Leadership Development InstituteYoung adults throughout the Southeast are a major focus of Harambee House. Training is provided in organizing communities for positive social change.  Junior High and High School students interact in individual and group projects aimed at encouraging independent and analytical thought, research and writing, cooperative dialog and debate, and methods of presentation.
