Participants receive training in OSHA Safety, HazMat Awareness and waste operations, lead abatement, mold remediation, asbestos removal, green construction and RRP (Renovate, Repair & Paint). Graduates receive federal certifications in each technical module when training is completed.
In addition, participants receive refresher coursework in math and reading skills, if required. Computer literacy, resume building, and job search techniques are provided through a skills development period given before the technical training. A Life Skills module is also delivered where interview techniques are modeled and practiced, and each participant is paired with a job placement specialist to ensure each graduate is placed in a job with a livable wage.
